COLLIERY DISASTER.
140 STILL ENTOMBED. LONDON, January 13. A disastrous colliery explosion has occurred at Halmer End, in Staffordshire. Many miners were entombed. A hundred, some of whom were dead, have been brought to the surface, and 140 are missing.— (Reuter.)
