In a review of his work during the ten years of the existence of his office, the public trustee of Great Britain shows that, whereas in the first year 325 trusts or wills of a total value of £2,000,000 were administered, after seven years (that is, at the outbreak of war) the Public Trustee was administering over 0,000 trusts, having a value of nearly £50,000,000. In the three years of war, and largely in consequence, this great business has doubled; there are now nearly 12,000 trusts, valued at £104,000,000 under current administration.
