RIFLE SHOOTING.
AKAEANA CLUB. • The Akarana Defence Rifle Ctab completed competitions on Wednesday afternoon for trophies presented, by Messrs' Laidlaw Leeds <A section), Mr. .Wm. Thorne (B section), and Sergeant A. I. S. Ferguson (C section). Ten shots were fired at 500 yds and 700 yds. Rifleman 'J. A. Spry, W. S. Ness, and I. Lomas proved top scorers of their sections, and each take a solid silver spoon.
