A very interesting case, illustrating the value of first - aid training and of accurate observations of a case by a man trained in the principles of first aid, is reported from West Australia. A man was seriously injured by a horse at Pall's Creek, one of the most isolated places in Australia. The postmaster, Mr. *■. W. Tuekett, wired euch an accurate account of the case to Dr. Holland at Pertn, 1,800 miles away, that the doctor was able to direct him by telegraph how to deal with the case, the result being that he was able to relievo the patient of pain, and to cave his life. Dr. Holland later on had an opportunity of inspecting the case, and found that the work had been carried out perfectly.
