AUCKLAND DISTRICT COMMITTEE. A meeting of the Auckland District Committee was held yesterday afternoon. The following licenses were granted:—Trainers: F. R. Weston, M. Kake (for three months). Jockeys: E. C. Browne, C. Fowler, 11. Lomas, K. A. Lambess, N. D. Hawker, T. Chaplin (three months), L. W. Jillings (three months), T. H. Snodgrass (three months). Programme approved: Ohinemurl Jockey Club, March Iβ. A complaint from an owner re the riding of his horse at a recent country meeting was referred to the stewards of the club concerned. A.R.C. Kembell's colt llyniestra met with a slight accident yesterday through pulling back Into a drain while being led at exercise. It Is possible that the accident will interfere with Hymestra's engagements at the 1 Wellington Racing Club's Summer Meeting, though Hawthorne, Its trainer, stated this afternoon that every effort would be made to get the coitus leg right in time to enable it to run at Tientham.
