MAN-POWER SCHEME.
LONDON, January 9. A national conference of shop stewards from Manchester, representing the engineers and shipbuilding workers, has declined to accept any agreement regarding man-power proposals that may be reached by the trade unions and the Government. The conference demanded that the Government should accept the Russian invitation to discuss peace terms. (A. and N.Z. Cable.)
