A controversy has been agitating a select circle of' Higli Church Anglicans and others in .Melbourne as to whether it is the proper thing for members of the Church of England to confess. The Primate (Archbishop Wright) has been requested by the Rev. E. S. Watsford to .summon the Court appointed to deal with such matters. He had previously communicated with Archbishop Clarke. hut received no answer. If the Primate should summon the Court, he proposes to charge Dr. Clarke with having permitted doctrines and pradticcs detrimenlal to the interests of the Chmeh.
