A GHOULISH THEFT.
During the air raid on London of July 7, Lieutenant Salmon, It.F.C, who fought the raiders, crashed to tlie ground. Tarts of the broken machine, as well as some of the personal belongings of tlie dead officer, were missing when the military found the wreck. Subsequently at Dartford Police Court five women nnd four men were chargen with being In the unlawful possession of public property. Captain Herbert Fison, giving evidence, said thnt the gloves. safety belt, and goggles worn I,y Lieutenant Salmon must have been taken from his dead body. They had been recovered by the police. Defendants, who said they had acted Innocently, were fined fl each, and the Chairman said the Beach hoped it would be a warning to others.
