CONSCIENTIOUS OBJECTORS
The Cliristcliureh jlini.-iters' Association has passed the following resolutions: "That, having heard details of the sirfferin_s3 oi conscientious objectors, this Association ur«es on the Government that all conscientious objectors should be offered absolutely non-military service of a type useful to the .State and at military rates of pay. The Association believes such a settlement would relieve very grave difficulties that have emerged in administering the .Military iService Act." '"That, having heard that certain conscientious objectors have been recently deported from Xew Zealand, this Association protests to the Government against suck action by the authorities."
