[By Telegraph—Press Association.) WELLINGTON', Monday. The Wellington Stock Exchange passed a resolution that the proposed system of taxing companies would have a farreaching effect by causing a heavy drop in shares an.l a diminished dividend; that the depreciation in the market value of shares would in many cases be very severe, causing shareholders, large anil small, heavy capital losses, as well as diminished income; that persons thus affected who were disposed to borrow to invest in war loan were suddenly compelled to refrain from doin:: so, fearing I embarrassment from these losses in capital and income: that the Minister of Finance should be urgently requested Sto take these points into consideration. 'and to accord relief by taxing each shareholder on his share and other mii come under ordinary income tax, and I thus relieve companies from paying the tax on dividend.
