MILITARY APPEALS.
ROTORUA. The First Auckland Military Service Board held a sitting at Rotorua yesterday. J. Bird, Kaingaroa. and J. Lever, H.Nevill, J. C. B. Orr, and A. Lockwood, Rotorua, withdrew their appeals on account of unfitness. The appeal of I. Anderson was allowed on religious grounds, and that of A. Seymour, Mokai, on account of appellant being a halfcaste.
The appeals of M. H. Jolly, Rotorua, W. Cleary, Matamata, and R. Shelton, Ngongotaha, were adjourned sine die. J. C. Perry, Rotorua, and T. Hannafor, Tokaanu, being in camp, their appeals were dismissed. The cases of M. Hiekey and E. Blood, Whakatane. were also dismissed, while that of H. J. Marsh. Ngawaro, was adjourned until the next sitting of the Board. _
