DEMAND FOR EARLY SITTING. ZURICH, September 3. Herr Sclieidcmanii (leader of the Socialist party in the Reichstag) and Herr Ebert (representing the Germau Majority Socialists) attended a conference of the Socialists of the Central Powers at Vienna. The meeting demanded that the Stockholm Conference should be held without delay, and appealed to tbe Dutch and Scandinavian Committees to make the requisite arrangements. It recommended that the question of responsibility for the war should be excluded from the Stockholm deliberations. It urged Austria to continue her peace efforts, and to exercise pressure upon Germany, Bulgaria, and Turkey towards peace.— (A. and N.Z. Cable.)
