SLY-GROG SELLING.
NATIVE" FIXED £30. Ano te llae, known as -'Friday." a native, was charged before Mr. E. Rawson, S.M., at the Magistrate's Court, Kawhia, on Friday with selling liquor and theft of a five pound note. Constable H. Smith brought evj.lenee to chow that the accused was selling brokenvlown •whisky, probably methylated spirit, for £1 per bottle. Accused was convicted and fined £50.. er three months' hard labour.
Duncan Clark, a labourer, waa fined £3 for supplying liquor to Maoris.
