THE VINDICTIVE KAISER.
WOULD BLOW UP WINDSOR. LONDON, August 16. In his new book. Mr J. YV. Gerard, late American Ambassador to Germany, describes an interview with the Kaiser in May, 1916. The Kaiser, discussing the blockade, declared that if it became too drastic he would blow up Windsor Castle and the whole of the British Royal Family rather than allow his own family and grandchildren to starve. — (A. and N.Z.)
