The State Parliament reassembled yesterday, Mr Elmslie (Leader of the Opposition) moved a no-confidence motion in the Government.— (A. and N_— Cable.) STUD SHEEP SALES. SYDNEY, July 3. The stnd sheep sales were continued to-day. The demand for merinos was firm, and prices were steadily maintained at rates materially better than last year. There was an exceedingly keen demand for British breeds, and record prices were paid. Among the New Zealand lots Border Leicesters sold on behalf of Messrs. Itouthwaitc, Nixon, Rennie, and Sutherland ranged from sgns to 50gns, Corriedales on behalf of Mx Ensor realised Ogns to 7-Jgns.— (A. and N.Z.) R-TI-5S OF "WOOL. MELBOURNE, July 3. An order Is to be issued requiring returns' to be furnished of all utoeks of greasy, washed, and scoured wool, which have not been appraised for sale to the Imperial authorities. — (A. and N.Z.)
