PRESENTATION.
A very pleasant function was held at the offices of Messrs. Campbell-F.hrcn-fried and Co. this morning, when an illuminated address was presented to the retiring secretary, Mr E. W. Rowllings. who is retiring from the firm after serving for over 2G years. The presentation was made by Mr A. S. Bankart. who referred to Mr Rowllings' connection with the old firm of Brown-Campbell for over five years, and with the present firm of Campbell-Ehrenfried for over 20 years. While regretting that ill-health had" compelled Mr Row-flings to retire from the arduous duties of secretary of the firm in the meantime, he hoped that his health would soon be restored, and that he might have many years of usefulness still before him. Mr Rowllings. in replying, referred to the harmonious relations that had always existed between himself and the members of the staff. He regretted that the state of his health compelled him to lead a more outdoor life and to sever his connections with the associates of a lifetime. Mr A. S. Rankart also introduced Mr Albert Bollard to the members of the staff. Mr' Bollard succeeds Mr Rowllings as secTetarv to the C. and E. Co.
