SALE OF WORK.
A sale of work In aid of the funde ot the l-.piplinny Chnrch was held in the parish; hall ynst-rday nfternoon. and was opened by Mrs H. H. Morton. As a result of till industry of the ladles interested, the stall* were filled with a large variety of articles, both useful and ornamental. The public attended in large numbers and bnslncsn whs orisk. The following are the stall* holders:—Sweets, Miss Flyger; fancy stall* Mrs Eliott: cakes. Miss Gunson; toys, Mrs Hughes; plain sewing, Mrs Midgeley; produce, Mrs Douglas; flowers, Mr F. C. Baa* sett; afternoon tea, Mrs Hewitt. The sala was even better patronised last evening, when a musical programme was added to the many attractions. This afternoon, too, there was a good attendance, and the various stalls appeared to be doing a thriving business. The sale Is to be continued this evening.
