WOMAN FOUND DEAD.
DUE TO HEART FAILURE. An inquest into the drcrnnstances of the death, of Mary Downing-, aged 54 years, who was found dead at her residence in Grey- Street, was held by Mr. E. C. Cufcten, ___~ this morning. Evidence was given by Dr. S. A. Stride, who conducted a post niortemi examination, that the cause of death ws.s heart faibane, due to acute pleurisy and congestion of the hings. Mrs. Taylor gave evidence that, in company with Mrs. A. Meeaan, she visited the house where deceased lived, and found her lying on her back ii the scullery. She was partly dressed. Witness ha<J known deceased for a number of years. She was a single woman, and lived by herself. A verdict in accordance with the medical evidence was returned.
