GISBORNE TRAGEDY.
DEATH OF THE MURDERER. TAKES POISON 3Y MISTAKE. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.} GISBOKNE, MonSaj.. The Maori, Abraham Te Whero, who was wanted by the police in connection ■with the Fox Street murder, was arrested late this afternoon in a wool shed on Mr. John Michell'6 Awapuni property, in the suburbs of Gisborne. Ha was very cold and iwet, having been out in heavy rain all night. The police announce that he looked ill, but attributed his condition to exposure. However, about 6 o'clock it became apparent that something serious was the matter, and prisoner was removed to the hospital, vvhert he died two hours later. Before his death he admitted that he murdered his wife, and expressed penitence. He stated that he had drunk the contents of a bottle which heUfckiJnd in the wool shed this morning. He believed it contained water, and had no idea that it was poisonous. 'V
