Mr. Charles E. Palmer, local manager of the Ocean Insurance Company, has gone on a short business visit to Suva.

Captain and Mrs. B. E_ Lankshear, of Wellington, are visiting Auckland, and are staying at Radnor.

Mr. M. A. Nathan, of Sydney, is visiting this city. He is a guest at the Grand Hotel.

In the King's Birthday Honours list there occurred the name of LieuteuantColonel Ivan Standish, an old New Plymouth boy.
