The Te Anau will go South again after working cargo cere. The quiet conditions of last week on the wharves have been changed by several important arrivals, which have revived activities. The Richardson Line advise that the steamer Kahu, which arrived at Auckland last evening from the East Coast, Is to leave again at 1 p.m. to-morrow. It was Intended to dispatch the Monowai for socth this afternoon, but this has been I cancelled, and her sailing time is now fixed at 2 p.m. to-morrow. The Monowai is berthed at the King's wharf, from where she will leave to-morrow. P. AND O. SERVICE. A Sydney exchange says: "It was stated yesterday that in consequence of the amalgamation of the P. and o. Company with the Union S.S. Company, no more P. and O. vessels would make the trip to Australia after June next, ,jMr A. Gordon Wesche. when interviewed,'confirmed this report." THE SUNKEN KOTARE. The latest particulars received concerning the condition of the Kotare. consequent upon her mishap at Waika-.va, are that the vessel is now lying on an even bottom and is almost completely submerged at 'high tide. The captain states that he anticipates no difficnlty in raising the steamer when the pumps are brought into operation. The vessel's sister keelsons are intact' also the sides of the ship and the deck! So far as salvaging the Kotare is concerned. It -was decided to endeavour to get a small steampr to go down, taking all the necessary equipment for the salvage work. It Ls probable that such a vessel ■will be procured.
