DEATH OF A LABOURER.

FOUND DEAD IN A HUT,

A man named John Botting, a labourer by occupation, was found dead in a hut at Huatai. There was a severe wound in his chest, which had evidently been caused by a knife found along-side the body. The police at Helensville were notified, and left this morning- to attend the inquest, with Dr. Meiniiold. The deceased had been employed on the drainage in the district, and had lived a lonely life in the hut where he was found. He was about 50 years of age.
