THIRD A.ND FOURTH DAYS. (From Our Own Correspondent.) HAMILTON, Friday. The attendance, considering the paucity ?ui ni , I n , _ a ._ arra ?. eme,lts ' UreaU J' wonder rul, and the takings to date are every bit hs good as last year. The factory uiana'l„ ;er conference was brought to a close on lOursday by a motor tour to Cambridge, Uautapu aud Ruatura State Farm. Thirty motor cars were lent by Hamilton folk, and these, full loaded, left at 10 a.m. The Cambridge District Cheese and Butter Factory at Hautapu was first visited, ilr E Allen, managing director, being the guide. The Mayor of Cambridge (Mr. X J Wilkinson) welcomed the party at Cambridge, where luncheon was obtained, and after the beauties of Kouto Lake were admired, the party made for Ruakura, where a most profitable time was spent under the supervision of the manager—Mr. Green. Lucerne, dairy cattle feeding, winter feed, shape of cows, were discussed with a good ileal of vigour. Upon return to Hamilton the factory managers were entertained by the Show Association at a smoke concert. The school competitions have been carried a further stage, and the most Interesting feature of these are the milk testing competitions for school boya, open to any school boy ln the district, and Ls being keenly contested. This is Indeed practical education for the boys of Waikato. The attendance and takings up to 10 p.m. this evening were up to last year's record.
