ITALIANSD REPULSE ATTACK IN LAIBACH VALLEY
LONDON, June S. Au Italian official report states:—We repulsed a heavy attack in the Laibach Valley. The enemy, having been reinforced, delivered violent attacks in the Carso, from Hill 247, southward of Versic, to HUI 31, cast of Jamiano. Our positions were strenuously defended. The fighting lasted nearly the whole day, with varying fortunes, until the evening, when the enemy was completely repulsed. An Austrian official report states:—The enemy's massed attacks at Jamiano broke down with heavy losses. Wo have captured 27,000 prisoners eiflce May 12.— ; ( A. and N.Z. and Beuter.)
