Sales of South British Insurance share.? were reported to-day on the Exchange at 116/0, and buyers offered 1/ under that figure at the noon call. Buyers of New Zealand Ins_ranee offered 157/6, an advance upon yesterday's rate, improved prices were also offered for Union Bank shares, the quotation this morning being 53J. but no seller quoted. Union Steam ordinary issue firmed slightly, being sold at 47/3, and ther were further buyers at threepence under thait figure.
