WAR LOAN AND TAXATION.
BONAB UW'S CIRCULAR. ) TO SUPER-TAX PAYERS. (Australian and K.Z. Cable Association.) LONDON, February 12. Mr Bonar Law sent special circulars to many paying supertax, including city companies, asking, for hie own information, as Chancellor of the Exchequer, how much they were going to subscribe to'the war loan. The circular met with considerable criticism. Some believe the answers may influence the coming Budget. If wealthy men subscribe largely to the war loan, the necessity for increased taxation will be lessened.
