IIELBOURNE, this day. l\Er Poynton (Federal Treasurer) announces that the Common-wealth Bank, the Bank of New South Wales, the Australian Mutual Provident Society, and the Mutual life and Citizens Assurance Company have each subscribed £1,000,000 to the war loan. The war loan has been oversubscribed. The £18,179,580 has been applied for. The list remains open for a further period. •
