ENEMY FORCED TO EVACUATE GRANDECOURT. HEAVY GERMAN LOSSES INIXICTED. LONDON, February 8. A report from Sir Douglas Haig states: "As the result of continuous pressure on both banks of the Ancre, —c enemy was forced to evacuate Grandecourt. The village, with its wide defensive works, is entirely in our possession. The enemy's losses in the neighbourhood were heavy."
