Tlie German' newspaper "Vorwaerts" states that at a meeting of the Mass Lew Committee, General Groener, who is in charge of the new organisation for civilian service, said. that owing to the number of -volunteers for the" civilian service compulsion -would not be necessary for some time. He admitted that transport difficulties were serious, but they would soon be overcome. He hoped that the coal. supply would soon be normal. General - Groener said he attributed the lack of meat to faulty distribution. - J
