Speaking at the Mansion House, Dr. Addison (Minister of Munitions) said women had taken a splendid part in war work. Half-a-inillioii women were engaged in the production of. munitions, and the number was increasing at the rate of 34,000 monthly. He paid a warm tribute to the work of the Young Women's Christian Association. Lord Sydenham said the nation could not appreciate too much, women's wartime work, and their readiness to risk their lives. Dr. Addison stated • that he required another 4,000 women munition workers monthly.
