BELGIUM'S AGONY.
WORST SINCE "WAR BEGAN. £40,000,000 WANTED FOR FOOD (Reuters Telegrams.) (Received 10.45 a.m.) LONDON, January 22. , Mr. Hoover, who has been directing the American relief service in Belgium, has arrived at New York. He says that he requires £40,000.000 for Belgian relief. Belgium's condition is now worse than it has ever been since the beginning of the war. AH business has been suspended in Brussels, Antwerp, Bruges and Ghent.
