Bertram Robert Watkins, aged 23, a railway cadet, whose parents reside in Hamilton, was drowned while bathing in Wairaata River yesterday afternoon. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) GORE, this day. A man named Joseph Hope, employed as a farmer % Mr John McKinnel, was dro'vvTied while bathing in the raver at Waikaia.
