At the trial of Wbata Ru», at the Supreme Court to-day, Mr. I/undon alluded to the fact that the natives had to pay £35 for a copy of the evidence of the Rua trial. This amount, he said, was paid to the Consolidated Fund. "I understood that was a perquisite of the associate," remarked his Honor. "It should have been," replied Mr. Lirndon, "but it went to the Consolidated Fund instead, and will probably go towards the war loan," ■ '
