(814 sheep sold.) Our yarding of fat and young calves was smaller -than usual, and all classes sold ■freely at last -week's rates. Runners made from £7 10/ to £13 5/; heavy vealers, £5 4/ to £6 7/6; medium, £4 to £7 16/; lighter,.; £2 18/ to £3 17/6; light, £2 to £2 16/; small and fresh-dropped, -4/ to £1 15/. (53 sold.) Pigs came forward in smaller numbers than usual, an-d sold at an improvement on last week's quotations. Xo choppers yarded. -Messrs. Dalgety and Co., Limited, report having held their usual weekly fat stock sale at .Westfleld yesterday, as under:—
Beef.—A small yarding, and prices were again higher. Choice pens extra prime ox sold at equal to 48/ per 1001b; prime qualityox made 43/ to .46/; cow and lieifer beef cold at from 38/ to 44/.
Veal.—Average yarding, and prices were unchanged. Heavy runners made np to £8 17/6, ordinary ditto £6 to £8; choice suckers. £4 to £5 15/, medium £3 to £4 2/, others 5/ to 30/..
Mutton.—A small yarding, and prices were .on a par with last week's rates. Extra : heavy prime -woolled wethers made from .£2 to £2 4/: ordinary heavy wethers. 37/6 to 41/, light and unflnisbed 31/ to 34/; extra heavy, ewea made from 36/ to 40/, others 24/ to 29/; heavy shorn -wethers, 29/ to 34/, medium ditto, 26/3 to 28/9; shorn extra heavy ewes, 28/ to 33/3. Lamb.—A very small yarding, consequently 'prices were considerably higher than last week. ■ Best-heavy lambs made up to 32/6, ordinary 23/ to 26/. Pork.—A large yarding, while prices were on a par with last week's rates. Choppers made up to £4 13/; baconers, £,?, to £3 IS/: porkers. 35/ to 49/; -weaners made from 20/ to 24/ for well-bred sorts..
