It in officially announced that the Man-power Board heard evidence on behalf ol the Admiralty, .the Army Council, and the 'Ministry of Munitions. It -was proved that fresh supplies 61 men for armies and inanition factories w*re urgently needed: The Board urges the tribunals not to extend the periods of exemptions, of which there are lour hundred thousand eases, «nd to expedite the hearing of applications <for exemption, of which there are two hundred thousand. , • Regarding the question of the "dilution of labour," the Bond requires the Board of Trade and Mr. Arthur Henderson (Labour representative) to confer -with the employers and the trade union leaders to extend the dilution, thus freeing skilled workmen engaged on private "work for making munitions. Much labour now on private irorfe must be diverted to Government production or released for the Army. . ;
