(Before Mr. E. C. Gotten, S.M.) -U the Magistrate's Conn yesterday afternoon, Louisa Agnes Hail applied for maintenance from her husband, Soy I.Hall Complainant was described as a destitute person, and her fonr brothers, as persons secondarily responsible under the Destitute Persons Act; were also Joined In as-de-fendants. Mr. Wyman appeared for the complanant and her-brothers, and Mr if A. Taylor for the defendant. Tn B evidence showed that the complainant's husband had recently finished a term of detention at Rotoroa Island, and had since hew two positions. Dennlston. who appeared as counsel for Mrs. Wood- j ward, stated to the Court that be had advised his client that the evidence was! not sufficient to. justify the Court.
