(Before Mr. E. C. Gotten, S.M.) -U the Magistrate's Conn yesterday afternoon, Louisa Agnes Hail applied for maintenance from her husband, Soy I.Hall Complainant was described as a destitute person, and her fonr brothers, as persons secondarily responsible under the Destitute Persons Act; were also Joined In as-de-fendants. Mr. Wyman appeared for the complanant and her-brothers, and Mr if A. Taylor for the defendant. Tn B evidence showed that the complainant's husband had recently finished a term of detention at Rotoroa Island, and had since hew two positions. (Before Mr. C. C. Kettle, S.M.) 'When the proceedings for maintenance and separation, Woodward against Woodward, were called, Mr. A. L. Dennlston. who appeared as counsel for Mrs. Wood- j ward, stated to the Court that be had advised his client that the evidence was! not sufficient to. justify the Court. In j making any order, and that his client withdrew the charges of emettyv and did not intend to proceed any fnrtsir with; the case. He asked leave to withdraw-the proceedings. (Mr. H. 11.
