Lecturing in Birmingham on "Shakespeaae's Religion," the Bishop of Birmingham said the dramatist of "Henry the Fifth" seemed to bo speaking to rather dull 60uls to-day. To Shakespeare patriotism and religion were inseparable. Dr. Wakefield derided those IGerman critics who would claim Shakespeare without having consulted him as to his desire to belong to them. Anything less like the real Shakespeare than one made in Germany had never been 6een or dreamt of.
