GERMAN ADMISSION OF BRITISH SUCCESS.

ALLIED ATTACKS EAST OF HARDECOURT. AMSTERDAM, July 21. A German communique states:—"The English attacked in considerable force our positions west and north of Fromcllee. A countor-attack threw them back from the points penetrated. The English again penetrated Longucval and Delville Farm. Counter-attacks compelled them to retire, although they still hold portions of the village and farm. Anglo-French attacks on the whole front at Founsaux Wood, east of Hardecourt, began this morning. The first attack was broken. The French in the afternoon made two unfruitful attacks in the region of Belloy en Sanlene, and were three times repulsed."
