Notice is lierebj- given that the Otaihuhn Borough. Council, in pursuance and exercise of the powers Tested in it in that behalf by Sections 48 to 55 of The Bating Act, 1908. and its amendments, Section 78 and SO of The Municipal Corporations Act, .1008, -and Section (il ol The Municipal Corporations Act, 1912, aud their amendments, Section 41 of The Hospital and Charitable Institutions Aα, 38W, and its amendments, Section 60 of The Public Health Act, 1003, and its amendments, Sections 20. t '£1, of The Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1913, and The New Zealand State Guaranteed Advances Act, 1000, and their amendments, and of every other power thereunto enabling It at a meeting of the said Council to be held In the Council Chambers, Great South Koad, Otahnhu. on MONDAY, the 31st day of July, 191<S, at 7.30 o'clock iv the evening, <will make and lew the following rates for the period commencing on.the let day of April, 1916, and ending oa the.3lst day of IMarch, 11)17, viz.:— 1. A General Rate of Twopence in the 'pound on the Unimproved Value of all: ratable properties appearing in the Valuation 801 lof the Borough, of Otabuhu. 2. A Water Hate (non-consumers' ordinary " supply), of One Halfpenny ' a •the pound on the Unimproved Value on all lauds and buildings to which watv cau be, tout Is not supplied, situate • •within one hundred , yards from any part of the waterworks, the annual value of which docs not exceed £12 10/; minimum rate, 5/. 3. To Collect a Special Interest Rate of Three 'Halfpence iv the pound on the Unimproved Value of all ratable property appearing iv the Valuation .Roll of the Borough of Otahuhu, to meet the Interest and Sinking Fund Charges on the following Special 'Loans :—Water and Drainage Loan of £23,500; Great South Itoad Improvement Loan, of £3000: Office and Workshop Site Loan, £750; Mangere Bridge Lorn, i~o0; Nlghtsoil Service i Loan, of £300. The Water Charges for ordinary and extraordinary supply, and the Meter Rent are fixed by Sections 423 and. 429 of the Oiy-lawe No. 3 of the said Council. Notice is further given, that a uniform Sanitation Fee of 20/ per pan per house for sanitation purposes for the year 1916-11 •will , be made arid charged "on all -properties in the Borough outside the drainage area. -All the above Rates and Sanitation Charge will be* due and payable in one sum n't the Otllce of the Town.
