Three local dogs jin HeaUtur Champion, Flying Hampton, and Wild Dale are left in the sii for Saturday's finals and semi-finals, and Wild Dale is favourably looked upon ac capable of carrying off the honours, altbougb the Champion Proof Dog, Heather Champion, must he strongly considered on his running ! for the past two days. Grey Gown, the i property of Mr Divers, of Dunedin, secretary of the National Coursing Association, Lord Amane, a Bucklond candidate, and the ; second remaining South Island representative, Katlpo, the property of Messrs, Opie and Bennett, of Nelson, make up the half dozen to.light out the issue, but tney will need to show superior work to j that already indicated to beat at least two of the local Jn the Purse nothing should trouble the Invercargill dog Blue Moon, who won both his courses convincingly to-day; while the Plate gives indications of also going to Southland unless something can crop up to beat either Erin's Star or Maori Chief, two dogs sent forward by Messrs Goodall and Malcolm of Wfnton.
