LINCOLN IN THE DOCK.
ATTACKS ADMIRALTY. (Received 2.5 p.m.) LONDON, July 4. The evidence in the trial of Ignatius Lincoln is being confined to two charges of forgery. Prisoner made a passionate attack on the Admiralty. Ho accused the authorities of persecuting him as a political offender. Lincoln was arrested in New York (where he openly boasted that he had acted as a spy in England) on charges of forging the name of Mr. Rountree, the philanthropist, who engaged him in connection with the distribution of relief on the Continent. Lincoln was born in Austria, but was naturalised in England, and even succeeded in gaining a seat in the House of Commons some years ago.
