Higgs (Federal Treasurer) is unable to issue the year's revenue returns untU he has received from the Imperial Government the bill for the equipment and provisioning of troops abroad! He considers, however, that his previous estimate of £89,092,000, including loans and a total expenditure of £76,057,000 ™_ P™ ye abo,rt This will leave a ba&nee of £13,035,000 loan money to be carried forward. During the month of June the following cases of infections disease have been notified to the District Health. Officer Dr. Hughes.—Scarlet fever, city 57 cases' suburbs 56, country districts 53; total' 166. Diphtheria, city 16, suburbs 17' country -districts 30; total, 63. Enteric fever, city 4, suburbs 1, country districts 49; total, 54. Tuberculosis city 9 cases, suburbs 2, country districts, 4total 15. Blood-poisoning, city 3 , upbs 1, country districts 3; total 7.
