She was found asleep in the station waiting-room with her head on a • soldier's shoulder, -was stated at Newcastle of Sarah Jane McWilliams, aged twenty, a smartly-dressed and good-looking gir], She was charged with having trespassed in and refused to quit the Newcastle central station, and it was stated that she had been warned several times, having been noticed in company with soldiers. When taken to the police station, it was added, the girl admitted havinj slept on the Town Moor for a week. Her mother told the magistrates that th» girl was completely beyond her control, and she was remanded with a view to being sent to a home.
