ANNUAL REPORT. A meeting of tho Auckland College. Rifles Club was held lunl night, uheu the ufteeutn annual report was presented. Lieutenant A. A. Iriguuu presided. Financially, the report showed that the uflalrs of the club were lv a most satisfactory position. The excess of assets over llablllrJca u-us XSIG 7/.1, cash lv hand amounting 10 £::7 11/3. During We year important and necessary improvements had >been tirade to the club's iircmises. Despite the difficulties arLslug from enlistments, the club's competitions were held. The Webster Cup was won l>y thC'Slgual Company with a score or K>3 points, corporal irteut made the highest scor,: with 74 points out of a possible S4. Mr. 11. T. Goldie has presented v gold medal to the elnb for competition, and with his permission It Is intended tv present It to the member ot the Signal company's team making the highest score in the Webster Cup competition, lv conclusion the report, which waa adopted, -appealed to memhers to maintain at the highest' levef"of efficiency the institution, which was believed to be unique In the Dominion. Distinguished Service.—The president referred with pride to the prominence with which former members had takcu part in the present war. The only V.C, won by a New Zentandcr had been i>ost»wcd upon Corporal Bassett, of the .Signal Company. Three other members have been decorated for services in the field. Majur J. H. 1 Whytc, N.Z..S.C, who received the D.C.M. during the Roer war, has been awarded the D.8.0.; Captain .L. M. Shera, who also served with distinction In the Boer war, has received the Military Cross, and Sapper B. L. Dlgnan has been awarded the D.C.M. In addition. -Major T. 11. Dawson and Sergt <!. D. Alexander have received mention In the dispatches. Roll of Honour.- The roll of honour shows that KSI members or ex-members are. or I have been, on active service. These Include .1 large minrlier of ofhVers aud non-com-missioned officers. Deep sympathy was expressed with the relatives of the following late club members who had met their deaths on active service: Captain A. B. Morton, N.Z.S.C.: Lieutenant A. D. Dawson. Trooper G. H. Whyte, Sapper R. w. 'Barry, Sapper W. F. Kennedy, Sapper TV. E. Clarke, Sapper C. G. Whltaker, Corporal 18. Willis, Corporal L. R. Grinrwadc. Private L. G. Clark. Private ,T. R. McLean, nnd Private T. 11. Wfcltson.
