Mr. A. Schmitt, who for some years has been organiser and secretary to the Auckland provincial branch of the Farmers' Union, to-day resigned the positions of organiser and secretary to the provincial branch, and aUo his seat on the directorate of the Tradin" Association. Mr. Schmitt, however, retains his connection with the Farmers' Union, as he holds the office of treasurer to the branch, and is a member of the Provincial ExecuGve of the Farmers' Union. I
