FIRE AT HAUTAPU.
I ■ I (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) CAMBRIDGE, this day. A six-roomed house, the property o! Robert Newcombe, in Pickering Road Hautapu, was destroyed by fire at ei> o'clock this morning. Mr. Newcombe was up early, milking. His wife liglitet a fire and went to assist her husbanc with the milking, leaving four childrei in bed. The flames roused the children who got out and called their parents The fire spread rapidly, and preventec hardly anything been saved. A piam was got outside, but was dropped to< close to the -house, and was destroyed The house was an old one. It was in sured for £100. There was no insur ance on the furniture,,
