BOMBARDMENT AT VERDUN DYING DOWN.
FRENCH FULLY ESTABLISHED ON NEW LINE OF RESISTANCE ENEMY CEASES NIGHT ATTACKS. ON THE TRENCHES. '(Received 11.50 a.m.) PARIS, February 25. Iμ official communique reports:—"The cannonade northward of Verdun is less violent. The enemy did not attack us last night. "We are now established on the line of resistance organised behind the Beaumont on heights stretching eastward from Champ Neuville, on tho- Meuse, to the southward of Ornes, midway between the Meuse and Etain." In the Argonne, east of Vauquois, the French have executed a fresh bombardment oi tae enemy's works in the region of Bois de Chippy. There is intermittent artillery activity between Malincourt and the left bank of the Meuse.
