THE ARTEMIS OUTRAGE.
DXTTCH PRESS ANGRY. OTHER VESSELS DISAPPEARED. ZEPPEUKS SUSPECTED. (Received 11.30 a.m.) AMSTERDAM, February 6. The newspapers are angry at the German torpedo boats torpedoing the Dutch motor vessel Artemis for refusing to proceed to Zeebrcgge after being vainly searched for contraband. It is pointed out that several Dutch vessels have lately disappeared, and it is supposed they were either mined or were possibly destroyed by Zeppelins, as Zeppelins would be unable to ascertain the nationality of ships.

GERMAN TOEPEDOEE DEFIED BY CUSTOMS OFFICIAXS. (Eeceived 11.45 aan.) i COPENTIAGEX, February 6. The newspaper "Kjobenhavn" states that a German torpedo boat attempted to search the American steamer Morene in Danish territorial waters. The captain answered that the ship's papers were in the hands of the Danish customs officers. The latter were aboard, and declined to hand them over to the Germans. The story*"has caused a great sensation in Denmark.
