The Pukemiro picnic and sports were held in the Pukemiro Reserve on Saturday last, when all the people of the township and adjoining farms were out for a day's enjoyment. The tug-of-war was a great contest, After a very hard pull the undergronnd team managed to gain the two first palls and thus win. Fhr some time past a series of pWty thefts have been committed at the Wα!kato Dining Rooms, small sums of money, coft drinks and cigarettes hnving been found to lie missing on several occasions. In consequence ji Tvntch set, with tho result that on the 11th inst. four boys will he brought before Mr. E. Rawsnn, S.M., to answer the charge of breaking and entering.
