The Pukemiro picnic and sports were held in the Pukemiro Reserve on Saturday last, when all the people of the township and adjoining farms were out for a day's enjoyment. The tug-of-war was a great contest, After a very hard pull the undergronnd team managed to gain the two first palls and thus win.
