An offence which is alleged to have taken place six years ago is now being investigated by the Auckland police, and until the inquiries are completed the Wellington police are retaining the suspect in custody. A Cooper S.M., at the Magistrate's Court. Henderson said ho was anxious to go to Auckland, in order to have the matter settled.
